What is porcelain stoneware and what advantages does it offer compared with other materials?
Porcelain stoneware is a compact, non-absorbent and hygienic ceramic surface. Compared with traditional materials, it is resistant to stains, bending, heat, impacts, chemicals, scratches, frost and UV rays. It is also fire-resistant and dimensionally stable.
-
How do I choose the most suitable floor finish for each environment?
For indoor spaces, Soft, Natural and Lux finishes are recommended. For wellness areas, outdoor spaces and commercial environments, P-Tech is preferable, as it offers high slip resistance and easy cleaning, or alternatively the R11 A+B+C anti-slip finish.
-
Are glossy, lapped or polished surfaces suitable for flooring?
Yes, they are recommended for any type of residential flooring or walkable surface that does not have direct access to outdoor areas. It is advisable to protect entrances with standard doormats. The use of abrasive cleaning tools should be strictly limited.
-
Why is it important to mix tiles from different boxes?
Because our collections feature intentional graphic and colour variations, inspired by their natural reference materials. Mixing tiles from different boxes allows the installer to enhance the product’s natural appearance and overall aesthetic effect.
-
What is 20 mm R11 thick porcelain stoneware, and when is it the right choice?
It is a ceramic range—divided into the OUT.20 ABK, X20 Flaviker and Plein Air Gardenia&Ariana collections—specifically designed for outdoor use. It offers exceptional strength, mechanical resistance and slip resistance for exterior projects.
-
Is 20 mm porcelain stoneware suitable for terraces, gardens, walkways and pool edges?
Definitely. It combines outstanding frost resistance and slip safety with refined material effects, making it ideal for outdoor areas and spaces in contact with water.
-
Is it possible to coordinate indoor and outdoor spaces with the same collection?
Yes. Outdoor collections such as OUT.20 ABK, X20 Flaviker and Plein Air Gardenia&Ariana bring the brands’ iconic flooring and wall-covering aesthetics into exterior settings, allowing complete visual and stylistic continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.

-
What is the difference between a natural edge and a rectified edge?

-
What is the difference between a traditional tile and a large-format semi-finished slab?
Tiles, typically used for traditional applications, are available in sizes ranging from smaller formats up to 120 × 280 cm and are used for both indoor and outdoor floors and wall coverings. Large-format semi-finished slabs, on the other hand, measure 160 × 320 cm and are designed for project applications such as clad volumes, kitchens, worktops and other furnishing elements, as an alternative to natural stone slabs.
